Recently Google’s Steve Grove gave an exclusive interview to Live Mint focusing on company’s coming plans for the Social Networking Service. Grove is the Google’s head for community partnerships for Google+. And this resulted in directions of future improvements to Google+ itself and also Hangouts and the Photos service.
As we’ve seen how Google dramatically, and effectively improved photo sharing on Google+ with full size uploads, auto enhance and auto awesome features. Grove says more improvements are to be coming in 2014 with more improvements in Photos section. Google will also focus on the text and video chat service Hangouts. With announcement of Android KitKat, Google replaced default SMS messaging app by adding ability to send text messages from Hangouts.
Steve also added that Company has been emphasizing Google+ from some time. It had already integrated YouTube, Google Photos, Search and recently integrated Play Store into Google+. And as the world is getting more Mobile, so company’s strategy is to focus on Mobile while keeping most of the stuff in the claw of the social networking service.
